The Sentinel-1D satellite has arrived in French Guiana
The European Sentinel-1D observation satellite landed this week at Félix Éboué Airport. It then arrived at Europe’s spaceport to start its take-off preparation. Look back in pictures.
This week, Sentinel-1D was received at Félix Éboué International Airport.
This satellite is part of the Sentinel-1 constellation developed by ESA (the European Space Agency) as part of the Copernicus programme, the EU’s environmental observation programme.
Floods, landslides and deforestation: Sentinel-1D will provide valuable images to scientists, authorities and institutions around the globe.
Sentinel-1D will take off aboard an Ariane 6. The launch date has yet to be announced.
