Europe’s Spaceport invites you to a “Rendezvous with the Moon” on 7 June
Europe’s Spaceport invites you for a rendezvous with the Moon on Saturday 7 June. A free event open to all as part of the international celebration “On the Moon Again”. Activities, a mini-conference and night sky observation are on the programme to explore the Moon in all its facets.
The Moon has always fascinated and inspired us. It lights up our nights, sets the rhythm of the tides, feeds myths and guides science.
On Saturday 7 June, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Europe’s Spaceport invites you to explore it during the international event “On the Moon Again”, in which it is participating.
Throughout the day, young and old alike can unravel the mysteries of our natural satellite:
• Planetarium Sessions (9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Guyaspace Experience*)
• Presentation titled “The Moon: do we really know it all?” by Anthony Guimpier, planetologist and passionate amateur astronomer (6:10 p.m. to 6:40 p.m., in the Jupiter Hall).
• Outdoor Moon observation (6:50 p.m. to 8 p.m., after sunset): Settle in, keep your binoculars or camera handy, and observe the Moon’s surface in the best possible conditions.
Whether you’re an amateur astronomer, curious about the sky, or just a dreamer, this event promises you a unique experience combining science, contemplation and sharing.
You will need to pay an admission fee for Guyaspace Experience. To purchase your tickets, go to our website by clicking here. These activities are included in the admission fee and there is no need to book in advance. No extra charge.
