Ariane 6: a historic contract signed with Amazon
On Tuesday 5 April, Arianespace signed its biggest ever contract with the American giant Amazon: an agreement for 18 Ariane 6 launches to deploy the Kuiper constellation project.
Arianespace and Amazon announced the signing of an unprecedented launch service contract on Tuesday 5 April at the International Space Symposium in Colorado Springs, USA.
Under the contract, Arianespace will carry out 18 Ariane 6 launches for Amazon's Kuiper project over a three-year period from the European spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana. Of the 18 launches planned for Project Kuiper, 16 will be carried out by an advanced version of Ariane 64.
