The METOP-SG-A1 satellite has arrived at Europe’s Spaceport
The METOP-SG-A1 satellite has arrived at Europe’s Spaceport, where it will prepare for a launch scheduled for August 2025 on board an Ariane 6 rocket.
Metop-SG-A1, a weather satellite, will be launched by Ariane 6 in August 2025, marking the second commercial flight of this new European launcher.
This satellite will play a key role in weather forecasting and climate studies, providing observations on temperature, precipitation, winds, pollution and aerosols.
Ariane 6, in its two-booster version (Ariane 62), is the launcher chosen for this mission
