VA267: Four-booster version of Ariane 6 taking shape
Last week, teams at the Guiana Space Centre reached a key milestone in the VA267 launch campaign with the assembly of Ariane 6 in the launch zone. The launch vehicle is now in position for the final operations before lift-off, currently scheduled for 12 February.
Preparations for Ariane 6 flight VA267 are ongoing at the Guiana Space Centre.
Teams have now assembled the main components of the Ariane 6 launcher – i.e. the central body and four boosters – directly on the launch pad. These operations are a key milestone for this first Ariane 64, the most powerful version of Ariane 6.
The next steps entail integrating the Amazon Leo constellation satellites into the fairing, which will then be transferred to the launch zone and placed atop the launch vehicle.
