At the Guiana Space Centre, ArianeGroup coordinates the activities of Ariane launchers.
Owned equally by Airbus and Safran, ArianeGroup was founded in 2016 to bring together all their activities and expertise in civil and military space launchers.
In French Guiana, ArianeGroup is the industrial prime contractor for the Ariane launcher family. It is responsible for the integration and testing of the launchers until lift-off.
ArianeGroup also operates the EAP storage building, where Ariane 5 boosters are stored prior to their integration.
The joint venture is also in charge of the chemistry laboratory at the Guiana Space Centre.
ArianeGroupe is responsible for marketing Ariane launchers through its subsidiary Arianespace.
