Last week, teams at the Guiana Space Centre reached a key milestone in the VA267 launch campaign with the assembly of Ariane 6 in the launch zone.

The Amazon Leo satellites (formerly known as Kuiper) have now been at the CSG for several weeks, where they are being prepared for their maiden launch in early 2026.

On the night of 16 to 17 December 2025, Ariane 6 successfully completed the final launch of the year from the Guiana Space Centre, placing two satellites from the Galileo constellation into medium Earth orbit (MEO).

On June 17, 2026, Arianespace will place into orbit 36 satellites for Amazon Leo with the Ariane 64 equipped with four P160C advanced solid-propellant boosters for the very first time.

On April 28, 2026 local time, Arianespace will launch 32 Amazon Leo satellites aboard Ariane 6 in its Ariane 64 configuration from Europe's Spaceport in French Guiana. Launch window : 05:51 - 06:39 Kourou time, 10:51 - 11:39 Paris/Berlin time.

On February 12, 2026, with the first Ariane 64, the most powerful version of Ariane 6, equipped with four boosters, Arianespace will place into orbit 32 satellites for Amazon.

The KOMPSAT-7 satellite, developed by the Korean Aerospace Research Institute (KARI), has arrived at Europe’s spaceport to prepare for its upcoming launch aboard Vega-C.
